CCLE Meets with Civil Status Authority
The Central Committee for Local Elections discussed, in a meeting with the Civil Status Authority, aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of developing the voter registry system.
The meeting was held at the authority's headquarters in Tripoli - Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the presence of the Chairman of the Central Committee (Mr. Adel Al-Ashhab), a member of the Committee (Mr. Muhammad Abu Sbeiha) and the Director of the Information Technology Office (Dr. Muhammad Musa), as well as the presence of the head of the Civil Status Authority (Major General Tariq Al-thumn) and his deputy (M. Mahmoud Maatouk).
The meeting reviewed mechanisms for activating the electronic link between the two sides and improving its services in the electoral field, as well as studying the mechanisms of information flow and ensuring the integrity of voter data and national numbers, as well as discussing services added to the voter register, in preparation for the upcoming local elections.
For his part, the Civil Status Authority's head (Major-General Tariq Al-Tather) expressed the authority's readiness to provide full cooperation with the central committee to ensure the success of the local elections, the integrity of its electoral record, and he emphasized on holding periodic meetings to follow up and develop the e-service.
